Stockyards

This was the last place we visited in Texas -  It was quite different, being the historic place. We all had been there specially to see the cattle drive and man!!! those cattle were really worth watching..
I wonder how do they carry such long horns?
This was the place where we saw the cowboy culture. All the way these cowboys were escorting the cattle.

Overall, it was a great experience being in US. Thanks to shamal for all the efforts she took in arranging this trip :)

Dallas World Aquarium

Well this was definitely more than just an aquarium. It feels like you have actually entered into the ocean when you see those sharks moving over your head.

Fossil rim

Our next visit was the Fossil rim- The safari ride. I enjoyed this the most.. I had never seen these animals from such a close distance.

There was this bird emu who literally
peeped his head into our car trying to figure out what else we have to feed him :) This made me think twice before feeding the giraffe. But giraffes are quite sensible, in the sense they dont get so close.

The Graduation Ceremony

Finally the day had come for which we all happened to be there, the graduation ceremony. Shamal and her friends were in perfect attire for the event and were all set to get their master's degree.
The ceremony was mindblowing. The event was organised in such a professional manner that it reminded me of the Hogwart's school of Harry Potter :)

Just after the graduation we all left for San Antonio. Next Morning everyone got ready to go to the sea world.. we saw some unbeilevable performances by the killer whales, dolphins and all..

And nevertheless, the rides were so thrilling we could have almost lost our voice screaming so loud.

The Butterfly Garden and The Dallas city

The next place we visited was the butterfly garden.. a very moist place with all the blooming flowers and beautiful butterflies moving around us. The view was amazing.

After this we had a ride in the tramp all around the Dallas city.. It was quite difficult to believe that the tramp was somewhat around 150 years old.
The ride was pretty good. And the best part was - it was all for free ;)

To the destination

As we reached to our suite we setteled ourselves and took some rest..

The next day we went to Arboretum - The theme garden, and to everyone's surprise we forgot the most important thing one takes for any outing.. the camera :)
The flowers and trees there were so beautiful, one would hardly forgive me for not taking the camera along.

Journey Begins

After all the ups and downs of the visa processing and interview, we finally made our way to US on 6th may 2011.
It was indeed a great pleasure to know we would all be there to share our happiness with Shamal on her graduation ceremony.
The journey was pretty cool.. Being the first trip to US, everyone was quite excited. We left Mumbai at 1am and reached Amsterdam at 6am.
There onwards the journey continued to US - Dallas. We landed at around 2pm and hushh!!!! after all the security check ins we finally reached the arrival gate and saw Shamal waiting for us.

It was now when we started feeling the jet lag. On our way to the suite we all were super exhausted but couldn't take off our eyes from the window of the cab to see actually how different is US from India :)
The first thing I observed was absolutely no crowd and no noise. For a moment I wondered, have I actually come to a place where human beings do live? :)
